Living slowly - Coffee
Why choose to live slowly with a good coffee
I have stopped drinking coffee four times in my life. Not because I do not like it, but because I did not like the idea of being addicted to that stimulant. Every time, I regretted it. I get migraines, and not drinking coffee is a guaranteed way for me to end up with a fuc*ing migraine.
For several years now, I have been living more slowly. I take more time to enjoy the world around me. It is probably a bit of a cliche to say that, I know I am pushing at an open door. But enjoying things is essential.
In this search for slowness, I told myself one morning that I would start preparing my coffee with a little more love. After all, I like drinking it, I am condemned to drink it, so I might as well do it properly. On top of that, I see a lot of people around me who are passionate about coffee. I read articles on the subject, I see people chatting endlessly on Discord about their gear. What is going on? I want to know. I want in. I also want to enjoy this ritual that seems delicious.
So I sent a message to dear Yannick, that man who always seems to know every niche subject before everyone else, who has already dug into the idea before you have. I asked him to advise me on what I should buy for a first kit. He wrote an article on the subject in ten minutes, and it helped guide me through this strange world where everyone repeats the same gestures: grinding, brewing, serving, but in a thousand different ways.
So what did you buy, Mathieu? My kit for living slowly around coffee

And so I will probably write a few articles here and there about my journey into the world of coffee. I am waiting to receive everything so I can begin this adventure.
