I found a traveling stone
Living in anticipation of an event I will tell you about soon, I found myself once again in Vendée. Having only one desire, to photograph the mountains, I forced myself to go out and immortalize this landscape I have seen and seen again so many times, and that I find so flat. Laura’s Traveling Stone, a stone left on the beach at Fromentine, is an original school project that particularly touched me during this autumn period.
Here are a few photographs from the beginning of my outing.

Tell us about your stone?
Once I arrived on the sea wall of Fromentine beach, I saw a stone on the embankment, which is usually so clean because of the wind. I hurried over to see it. It said:
“This is LAURA’s Traveling Stone, from the school of Entrepont-le-Vieux, in Savoie. Thank you for:
- Taking my stone and leaving it in a place where people pass.
- Taking a photo of my stone and the place where you left it.
- Sending it to my teacher: email Thank you for taking part. Have a beautiful summer.”
Okay, it was October 10, summer had passed. But I could not help thinking the idea was good. I asked myself a thousand questions. I wanted to know how many people had really sent an email. How many places had this stone seen? Would it keep traveling for a long time? I would have liked to follow it myself. I allowed myself to take the stone with me to bring it to Brittany during my future stay in Breton country. I wish dear Laura, who I imagine must be quite young, that she will travel as much as her stone, and much more. That she will enjoy the world around her.

After that, I started taking photographs again. I will leave you with them.
